It is located in Guanacaste. It is a unit administratively dependent of the Guanacaste Regional Campus and academically to the College of Agronomy. The main activities carried out are: research, community outreach, and teaching. It is a relatively new farm with a tropical dry forest refuge called Ramón Álvarez, and it has native forest and fruit species
